Join the Creative Education Foundation (CEF) for the "SEL + CPS" virtual workshop on Wednesday, February 8th from 4:30-6:00 pm EST. Social Emotional Learning (SEL, sometimes called affective learning) works beautifully with Creative Problem Solving (CPS) tools, skills, and mindset. While social-emotional learning programs may look different from school to school, most are designed to support and enhance five areas of social and emotional development:
- Self-awareness
- Self-management (also referred to as “self-control”)
- Social awareness
- Relationship skills
- Responsible decision making
Adding in Creative Problem Solving mindset and tools helps educators provide creative intellectual space for students which facilitates a growth mindset for everyone in the classroom.
